Y 再遇见~

this, has been on repeat mode for very long.
i love, love, love this song.

the song is nearly perfect and the lyrics is brilliantly written!
so much so that i can foresee myself standing up, clapping non stop and shouting "好! 好! 好!! 太棒了!!!" if i was to listen to him sing live.

this song just really makes me look forward to their next concert!
when exactly are they coming?!
i can't wait!!!

beside being on repeat mode on my 'playlist',
it's also on my bro's and sunya's.

it's that good.

Y A fantabulous week~

this post is about... food.

i've been thoroughly enjoying myself this week.
it's so unlike me to be going out four times a week.

that's, a lot to me.
afterall, i'm not longer a teenager who has all the energy to play 24/7.
that sounds just that tad sad huh?

oh well.

besides going to gardens by the bay with my family this week,
i spent the remaining three days shopping and catching up with muay fan, pet and sunya.

[[ one ]]

muay fan decided that she really wanted to try out tonkatsu by ma maison at mandarin gallery after hearing good reviews from 4 friends.
so off we went.

i must say that their tonkatsu is not bad.
i really can't tell if it's really super good because i'm not a tonkatsu person, so i've yet to try that many to tell you that it's really good.

but.
the sesame dressing is so nice that i had like two huge servings of salad.

[[ two ]]

met up with pet on saturday night for a little birthday celebration.
we went to the atrium lounge at marina mandarin for drinks after some shopping.

i suppose it was a pretty nice birthday celebration.
basically, we pretty much will enjoy ourselves given good food and drinks.
like duh?
oh yes, and an endless string of nonsensical conversation.

[[ three ]]

i must have been mad.
i slept at 2am on saturday and was supposed to be up by 8.30am today just so that i can go for brunch with sunya.
i was iterally cursing myself when i had to dragged myself out of bed this morning.
= =

but.
i totally changed my mind when we got to the riders cafe at bukit timah saddle club.

i came across this cafe when i was googling for places to go for brunch.
and it just sounds so interesting that i had to immediately make a reservation and go as soon as i could to try it out.

anyhow, because it's situated in an inaccessible location,
just like how another blogger put it,
here are four ways to get there:
1. you've got a car.
2. you hitch a car.
3. you hitch a taxi.
4. you fly.

back to brunch.
again, i've not had enough brunches to tell you just how good the food is.

but one thing is for sure.
i ABSOLUTELY love the place.
it's just so close to nature, with a few horses here and there.
no doubt there isn't any air conditioning at all,
you'll feel pretty alright after settling down.

by alright i meant to say it's quite cooling.
not as though you'll be distracted by the heat during brunch.

being there early in the morning for brunch just really made my day.
i ended up feeling really refreshed and happy throughout the day.
so, i'm definitely going back there.
soon.

one lone horse having its brunch.

and here's ours.
from top left, clockwise:
cafe latte, blackstone benedict, ice boston tea, 'the usual'.

after brunch, we headed to town for some intensive shopping.
basically, it's been a fabulous day.
or should i say a fantastic week?

for now, it's time to rest and recharge.
all these "play" really drained me out like crazy.

oh yes.
lastly, happy birthday to the special one.

till then~

Y Birthdays~

here's a mini series of birthday celebrations for both my parents.

for bai baba, we had a simple dinner over at the line one sunday evening.

for ma, we decided to go all out to make her happy by going to gardens by the bay.
she's been pestering us to go for the longest time.

honestly, my brother and i aren't exactly keen about going to such tourist-y places.
but, wow.
i'm impressed that we've got such a nice, decent tourist-y place in singapore.

now, are you ready for some serious amount of photos taken there today?

this is mad cool!
they are actually stone looking plants camouflaging among those pebbles.
see!
they even bear flowers!

i highly recommend those who have yet been to gardens by the bay to do so.
it's really a very enjoyable experience.
i suppose seeing all those beautiful scenery, flowers and breathing in those fresh air just makes one's day.

for one, i'm pretty sure ma enjoyed her birthday very much today.

oh yes.
i was telling bai baba that i want to attempt to grow some lavender at home.
being sort of a avid plant lover, he did show some interest in it and we've agreed to go finding for a pot in some nursery the following sunday.

hopefully i can get them and they aren't that hard to 'cultivate' here.

ending here with a shot of the supertrees.

Y national handbag day~

so over at purseblog.com,
10th october is declared the national handbag day.

there have been a series of posts up in lieu of this day,
and they have just been really nice and interesting reads.

if i've got to pick my favourite,
it would have to be this.

this is just oh so funny and yet so true!
i totally can relate to it!

in fact, this is what i've been through recently.
by recently, i mean.... yesterday?

i'm currently at step #10 and i'm pretty sure that my typing speed definitely surpass the dog's.
i've yet to proceed with the rest of the steps all because i'm feeling extremely guilty about spending so much on bags this year.

anyhow,
here's my take.
happy national handbag day!
