you may be shocked by the amount i spent on these.
i got four items, one of which is out of stock, so i paid for it in advance.
altogether, i spent around $400 and the rebate i got was slightly over $100.

first off, a sk ii facial treatment essence, $209 for 215ml.
i go through a bottle quite quickly,
but that's because i do not just use it on my face.

deb got a started kit which is so damn worth it.
it includes a 75ml facial treatment essence, a small bottle of lotion, a sheet mask and cotton pad.
all for $99, excluding the 20% credit voucher you get from the sale!

so, if you're interested in trying out sk ii products,
you ought to head down to metro tmr to catch the sale.

next.
my usual bottle of sunscreen from kose.
god knows how many bottles i've used up.
a bottle can last me mmm... 2-3 months?

a biotherm eye makeup base, $70 for 15ml.
damn shit.
now then i realised it's actually a eye makeup base when i actually wanted a eye cream with spf.

wth.
*roll eyeballs*

anyhow, it's my fault because i was getting so impatient.
i just simply get any eye cream with spf.

to me, it's so~~~ important to get an eye cream with spf for day use.
however, it's so~~~ difficult to find one!

my current one is from shiseido and it's actually discontinued.
that's such a shame!

clarins has a sunscreen just for the eyes but that is out of stock today at metro.

so... desperate me got a eye makeup base with spf without realising that.

i guess i would make do with it.
at least the sa gave me two sample tubes of essence from the whitening range.

lastly, an elizabeth arden prevage eye advanced anti-aging serum, $186 for 15ml.
it's not in the photo above because this is the one which is out of stock.

this is SO~~~~ damn expensive.
but.
sunya kept telling me that i HAD to try it because it's super good according to her.

anyway, this is the first time i purchase an elizabether arden product and i met a SA, who happens to be the manager at the paragon counter.
she is so~~~ nice!

when she knew that i specially headed down to paragon just because i wanted to get something from elizabeth arden,
she offered to help me buy the products the next time metro has this 20% sale and pass it to me because she stays in woodlands?

i got this 'Washed Denim Cheetah Cherish Tote' by rebecca minkoff.
my first ever animal print bag!
the material is denim and fabrication is woven cotton.

initially i was debating if i would even dare to use this bag since it definitely isn't everybody's cup of tea.
but well, i did that today.

and.. i love it!!
in fact, my fingers love it!
the material is so~~~~ comfortable to them.
haha.

the downside is that it's pretty nua,
so i've got to use my bag organsier with it so that things don't get all messed up in it.

by the way, i totally do not get the difference between cheetah and leopard prints.
so don't even think of asking me.

now that i've gotten a cheetah print bag,
it's time for me to venture into a leopard print one.
in fact, i've got a target in mind already.

i met up with pet for some shopping and dinner today.
actually, we didn't buy much.
you shall see for yourself at the end of this post.




dinner was at jang shou korean charcoal bbq at esplanade.
it was my first time having korean bbq and pet kept telling how full i would be after the meal.
i was basically skeptical about that.



we ordered two portions of meat, which were chicken and pork.



the best part is you do not have to do the cooking yourself.
the waitress will do it for you.
so you can chat or whatever while watching her flip your meat?
haha.



there was also NINE complimentary side dishes.
i thought their kimchi wasn't bad, so i bought some to bring home.



i've always seen koreans in dramas eating chilies.
so, i "forced" pet to do so too.




while she's posing nicely for the photo, demonstrating how to eat chili,
i was there stuffing my mouth with a huge mouthful of vege cum meat cum onions cum garlic.

no doubt it looked very unglam,
but it tasted SHIOK.

honestly, we were DAMN full after the meal.
we haven't got any idea why too.










now, for things i got today- four items.



pet got the same stuff as me, except for the ice watch.

the elmo and hello kitty stuff are clips.
they are just nonsense we bought at taka.

the mini bb cream is for muay fan because she can't seem to find the super moisture version.
anyhow, just to refresh your memory,
this is by far my favourite bb cream.
mm.. i've tried 3 to date?



even though i don't think the face is nice,
i simply couldn't resist the mint green colour of this ice watch!
it's one of my very favourite colours of late!!

anyway, this brand is from belgium and is apparently getting popular in us, uk, hk and japan.
no idea how true that is.

by the way, my iphone cover is in that same colour, just different in shade.
the guy who served us at tangs went "eh.. same colour" when i took out my phone.

the cute thing about the packaging is that it can be used as a piggy bank.
damn cool to have a piggy bank in that colour alright?!

all items below are purchased from under-twenty20.
this online store is by winnie's friend and that was how i came to know about it.

basically, my first purchase from the store was an original palette from sleek makeup which was for muay fan.
we were thrilled that winnie's friend was selling the palettes at relatively reasonable prices.

a bit of background on sleek makeup.
this is a drugstore brand found in the uk.
it's known for its eyeshadow palettes which are very pigmented and cost around 5 pounds each?

according to muay fan, they are comparable to mac eyeshadows, but at a fraction of the price!
so they are definitely worth checking out if you are into eyeshadows!




these are the stuff i got on my second purchase:

- sleek palette in storm and sunset for muay fan
- sleek blush in rose gold
- lush honey i washed the kids soap
- opi shatter from katy perry collection
- lush happy soap samples which were a gift with purchase.

i haven't got around to using those stuff i've gotten for myself.
so here are just super brief first impressions of them, if any.

the soaps from lush smell good.
honey i washed the kids is vanilla smelling and happy soap is very candy smelling.

opi shatter is such a popular colour that it's getting really hard to track it down without having to pay the exorbitant price tag.
winnie and i both got one bottle to have fun with the shattering.
it's really pretty amazing and amusing to watch the polish shatter.

lastly, the sleek blush in gold rose.
this was recommended by sam from pixiwoo on youtube.
and it's said to be a dupe for nars orgasm.

despite reading everywhere that gold rose is really similar to orgasm,
i still got it because this was what i would want the most out of the three shades available in the store.
basically, i just wanted to try sleek blush.




this photo looks real weird because it's inverted.
i just couldn't have it the way i want no matter how i rotate it.
i must have rotated it N times before giving up in the end.

the upper swatch is nars orgasm and the bottom one is sleek gold rose.
these two are HIGHLY similar in terms of colour and payoff.
the main difference is that rose gold packs a whole lot more of gold shimmers compared to orgasm.

if you want to try nars orgasm, you can consider having a go at gold rose instead.
afterall, you get almost double the amount of product for a third of the price.
and, you can get it at under-twenty20!

but turned out she and her husband were at my aunt's place.
hence, we managed to take this photo.

oh, and this is the first time i ever got an ang bao from a cousin.
no matter the amount, it was still a nice gesture.

i met up with muay fan today and spent our afternoon in town idling away.

i've got no idea why, i just can't get the momentum going.
it's like i've been relaxing way too much during cny.

anyhow, we went for the tangs sale together to get guerlain meteorites for me and mac concealers for her.
after which, we just wandered around and eventually went for cakes and teas at canele.

haha.
it did feel kinda shiok idling the afternoon away.




stuff i got today.

the soap and glory clean on me shower gel was a gift from muay fan.
somehow, she LOVES to give me surprises.
like she would wats app me and say that she has a surprise for me,
and the next time we meet up, i would get the surprise.

these surprises are super frequent.
say, we meet 40 times a year, i would get a surprise probably for at least 15 times.
that's how frequent they are.

i've got no idea where she gets this habit from.
and apparently i'm the only friend she does this "surprise" thing to.
it's no doubt she's the most generous friend i've got.
but yea, i do try to prepare surprises for her too.

anyway, she loves this soap and glory shower gel so much that she got me one so that i could try it.
according to her, the smell lingers on your body for some time.
for me, the smell didn't linger for that long and sadly, i'm not very into the scent.
nevertheless, i shall finish the whole bottle of it.

oh yes, she gave me another sheet of mask for me to try.
i forgot to photograph it together with the rest.




check out this vibrant orange-red-in-reality colour.
this is from the face shop and HIGHLY recommended by pet.

she told me that those nail polishes with white caps are superb and even better than opi and china glaze.
when she told me that, i was like .......

i decided to get one of these and i did go "woah" when i applied it.
it's MEGA easy to apply.
what's more, they are freaking cheap at $2.90!
so i went back today and got two other colours.

my only complaints are that the colour range is rather small and they don't last that long.
i don't mean major chips, more of those tiny winy chips found at the tips of the nails.

do try them if you can.
afterall they are so cheap, just dump them if you beg to differ after trying them.




guerlain meteorites i got today at tangs sale.
the shade i picked up is 01 teint rose.
basically, it's a finishing powder that you can dust all over your face.
all the differnt coloured balls in there are meant to correct your skin tone.
for eg, green to correct redness.

i guess if you're really into makeup like i do,
this would be a product worth checking out.
but do note that this is NOT a matte product.
it has TONS of tiny shimmers.

the last topic for today would be on what happened that day my bro enlisted to the army.

i did mention to my parents that i didn't want to go, saying that i was busy and stuff.
but the truth is i could easily not be busy.
i just had the feeling that i would start crying there and then.

anyhow, i went in the end because my parents were like "he's your only brother" yada yada..

the day before, ma told me that bai baba asked her not to cry on the day because he would also follow suit.
and i was like "oh please.. cry for what?"

but of course i was pretending.
ha.

and my parents even went to the extent of wanting to wear sunglasses there to camouflage?
super ridiculous.

the morning itself, bai baba really came and asked me to lend him my sunglasses?
and i just rolled my eyes.

fast forward.
the bottomline is i ended up being the first to start tearing.
it got to a point, i was just too irritated to continue pretending i don't give a shit.

luckily, i didn't think my bro saw me.
but, i do think that his friends, who were also there to send him off, saw me cry.
they must have smsed him asking why his sister is so crazy.

i honestly have never cried over my bro before in my life except for the times i fought with him when we were young.
obviously, i was the one who always get into trouble with my parents.

that was like super expected.
because the last time i was in laos, when i called home, he was tearing away.

ma was the only one who was perfectly fine and could even remind him this and that.
