woke up at 6.30am this morning to go to the market with bai baba.

came back, had breakfast, read and went back to sleep again.
actually napped for at least 3 hrs.

and now.
it's only 11+pm, and i'm feeling sleepy again.
i'm so sleeping like nobody's business!

about yesterday..
i was out with muay fan to check out mac latest makeup art cosmetics collection at isetan.

that woman is crazy lor..
she didn't get anything yesterday, but she went down again today and i suppose spent a bomb there.

from the collection, there are:
- 6 single eyeshadows
- 3 eyeshadow quads
- 2 powder blushes
- 5 lipsticks
- 4 pigments
- 2 glitters
- 2 reflects glitters
- 5 eyeliners

and there are more to this collection.
just that i can't remember all of them.

the thing is..
she got about 1/4 of the collection?
mainly sweeping those eye products.

i think she ought to have got two free makeovers.
so.. let's see if she's nice and asks me along to have a makeover with her.
haha.

as for me.
no worries.
i'm getting atmost 3 items.

1. the perfect cheek colour
think i would like it since it's pretty close to blooming.
but it's matte.

now guess which colour(s) am i attracted to.





2. it's haunting!!
hahaha!
i love that peppermint colour!

however i'm not sure if i would definitely buy that since i wouldn't actually dare to wear that out at this point in time.

3. am sharing pigment in push the egde with muay fan.
gorgeous colour.
saw a MA donning that yesterday.

lastly.
i love the glitters.
freaking bling bling and pigmented!
but.
definitely not getting them simply because they are so not wearable for everyday looks.

then in the evening, i met up with muay fan.
talked, walked, shopped and had zui kway for supper.

their chai po is like not too salty and sweet!

talking about shopping.
i'm thinking if i ought to invest in a pair of fitflops.

they definitely aren't the nicest looking flip flops around,
but they are damn amazing can?

it ended up being mine though we agreed to share it.

i heart the spacious-ness, the colour, multi pockets and interior of the bag.

that silver metal thingy is a bag hanger which i got from muji at $10+?
comes in handy when you dine in some places.
just "hook" onto the table and hang your bag.

something real cheap which pet and i picked up in KL.
that's the first thing we "paired".

i actually have been pretty busy these days.
it's good to keep yourself busy esp when your mood isn't that great.

first. you distract yourself with work.
second. you tire yourself because of all those work you pile on yourself.
third. you earn money.

despite those work, i managed to catch up with deb like after 2 months odd.
and we went... ion??

wah.. i really 走到烂了.
been there at least 10 times since its opening.

we tried this sho- teppan at B3-19, which is right beside soup spoon.
decided to try it though we were pretty positive we would be smelling like shit after our meal there.

but.
wow!
no smell man..
at least no distinct smell when i smelled my clothes back at home.

the important part is.
the food is pretty decent.
had their suki yaki or whatever you call that and deb tried their teppanyaki.

their food comes in a set of rice/ udon [for certain sets], miso soup and salad.
i love their salad!!
super appetising with its super boring looking dressing.
even finished up deb's share since she found them to be raw tasting.

mm..
all thanks to pet, i'm pretty into salads now.
in fact, i love them.

but.
as appetiser.
NOT main course.

muay fan said that the guardian store at ion carries this japanese cosmetic brand, cezanne.
the one i helped pet get from japan.
she's loving this lip blam of theirs..

so, probably can go take a look at their stuff.
as for their prices, i'm not too sure as i have yet to check them out.

miss sui recommended me this when i told her i want a purple to go together with my smoke and diamonds [a grey shade].

i got bored jsut now, so i tried to do an eye look with those 2 colours.
mmm... SUI COMBI!

check out the i nuovi falsies i got from sasa.
9 bucks each and can reused for at least 5 times.
click on the photo and you will see they aren't the conventional kinda falsies.

they are with shimmers!!
sutbly shimmery, but super duper chio!
okay.. they're more shimmery in real life than in picture.

plan to wear them on my cousin's rom.
难得 can be really hiao..
goes perfectly with my chanel bling bling earrings.

so sad right?
till now, i've not worn them at all!

i actually had loads to blog about.
but i'm sort of having STM [short term memory] now,

watson is having sale at expo till tmr.
according to pet who went today, she said it's pretty good.
there's this watson's bird nest sheet mask, stretchable somemore, going at $5 for 6 pieces.

i've got yet another cousin getting rom on 9th sept.
and she's merely 2 years older than me.

especially since the others in my clique are going.

lim chi guan bak gua and coconut.
mega yummy!

by the way, with regards to lim chi guan,
it's by far my favourite bak gua brand.
and it has to from the main, original store at chinatown.

there are like 2 lim chi guan stores just opposite of each other in chinatown.
and.
both sells bak gua of different quality.

i'm serious.
my tongue tells me so.

have yet to try the store at ion though.
hope it produces authentic tasting lim chi guan bak gua..
then cravings for it would be easily solved.

one last bit to this entry.
i tried stage black eyeliner pencil.

amazed.
really budgeproof.
at least for today.
i shall try it more often to see if it's really the case.

however.
it's pretty boring.
mere plain black.
and it isn't exactly that smooth compared to mac.

think i used mac tippy for the first time today.
it's been quite some time since i used a more pinkish toned blusher.

and..
i love it!

i meant to have a great meal with muay fan today.
and we went to this watami or something place in ion.
that japanese casual restaurant which is next to the asian kitchen.

and guess what?
我吃到一肚子火.
for that, they got a super negatively rated feedback form from me.

we waited in the queue for about 40 minutes and i was super positive that that the food in there would be worth the wait.
i mean.. after all, there is always a queue at that place.

*poof*
PLEASE.
more waiting awaits you when you get in there.

i've got no idea why everything was so slow when there are plenty of waitresses/ waiters in there.
you've got to wait for your food, like bloody long!
got to ask them to check on your order for MULTIPLE times.
got to wait for your bill.

even the patrons next to us were really irritated by their slow paced service.

i'm not kidding nor am i exaggerating.
the whole experience in there was plain bad.
and their food are just of average standard.

i thought the nicest food was the soup of that steamboat thingy that i ordered.
worse still, muay fan's favourite was the pickles which came with the rice.

how great right?

anyhow, their service/ food called for some honest feedback.
so.. 老娘毫不可气 ticked many "POOR" and a "NEVER" for the question "will you patronise again?"

as for comments, i wrote something about their food and service are totally not worth my wait.

yesh.
here's my review for that restaurant.
do go and have a meal there if you want to see how badly their service is.

well well well.
i got my stage black liner from muay fan today.
she gave me like another bottle of nail lacquer.
and it's blue again.
ha.

as for my purchases today:

1. a bobbie brown sheer color cheek tint in sheer pink
mine are mostly apricot/ coral tones.
fyi. this is my 34th blusher if i did count properly.

2. rubi black flats
just felt like getting them.
would like to get those which has leopard prints in them, but can't find one in my size.

anyhow, luckily i got them before chancing upon the schu flats.
if not i wouldn't be able to refrain from buying somewhat the same kind, but more comfortable and times more expensive flats.

yesh.
i only got two items today.
sad.

my mac pearlglide in fly by blu 开张大吉 today.
woo hoo~~
super nice!!!!
muay fan gave it thumbs up!

it's such a nice shade of blue loaded with donald duck blue glitters!!
definitely my favouritest blue liner now!

today's urban in the straits times has this article on beauty how-to videos on youtube.
that's how i got to know of the existence of this makeup artist by the name of Lauren Luke.

i did go and have a look at some of her videos.
fyi: she's on my favourites now.
must say that i prefer those eye looks she did to those by makeupgeek.
lauren's ones are less dramatic and more wearable to me.

but the thing is..
she has this british accent which is kinda hard to catch.
surprisingly muay fan made the same comment when i told her about this lauren luke.
i guess we are both more comfortable with makeupgeek's english.

anyway.
you should somewhat get what she's saying after viewing a couple of her videos.
just need some getting used to and mm.. straining/ stretching of your ears.

here's one video which i think is perfect for an everyday look.
totally classic and simple enough iff you practise hard enough.

obviously a total beginner wouldn't be able to complete that basic look in 15 minutes like her.
so.
practice, practice and more practices!

the only one thing i don't like about that video is how she applies foundation on her lips.
to me, it's just plain weird.

the thought of "eating" those lipsticks/ lip blams/ lip glosses are already enough to gross me out.

and now foundation??

that takes a little getting used to as well.

muay fan helped me get a black pencil one from stage.
we decided to try it since they had the 1 for 1 national day promotion.
so it works out to be a mere $10 each.

i didn't intend to get the other 3 from mac.
but i got 激 by muay fan who, according to her, is experiencing somewhat makeup withdrawal symptoms.

best is.
i got three out of the four that are available in mac's Love That Look collection.
these pearlglides are said to be better than the permanent ppt ones and are very glittery pigmented.

gosh.
they are ULTRA smooth.
nothing beats pearlglide man!

and and.
there are tons and tons and tons of glitters in them.
god knows where they hid all those glitters man!

fyi: they are limited edition.
so do get them if you want because they are flying off the shelves.
esp rave which i heard is oos at isetan, tangs and nac.



in case you're wondering why there are 8 swatches instead of 4,
this collection is a re promoted one from the previous Suite Array collection last year.

as for this time round, the available colours are:
- black russian
- rave
- fly by blu
- molasses

if you do know me well enough or follow my blog,
you ought to know which colour i have missed out on purpose.

let me explain why i got fly by blu.

the good thing is that we managed to resolve all those issues.

deb and i met for dinner at fish and co last night.
was telling her some recent incidents and that made me really happy and excited narrating them.

so, being in a freaking happy mood,
i actually told this restaurant manager that i was very impressed with his service.
simply because he was the first one who remembered my sambal chili request.

the last time i was there, i asked for sambal chili more than 5 times.
took them damn long to get it for me.

well.
this restaurant manager is called eric.
and he reminds both of us of the younger version of obama.
haha.

honestly, if you see me eating my fish, it's obvious i'm singaporean chinese.
i love mine with rice not chips, sambal chili and chopped garlic not tartar sauce.

last week, i got really pissed off with my boy who kept insisting that he couldn't clap the melody of whatever i played for him.
i repeated that 2 lines for like not less than TEN times alright?

it came to a point, he just turned away and secretly wiped off his tears.

what the hell is sooooo~~~~ difficult about clapping?
i thought that was a give away part of the exam!

so i narrated that part of the story to my piano teacher this morning and she said most students just can't clap.

原来我错怪 that poor boy 了..
i honestly thought he just wasn't concentrating hard enough.

something else.
another kid couldn't stop haunting me with this today:

in return, i haunted her with:

i saw xx's blog sometime back and she had this bow hairstyle that really made me 傻眼 and wow-ed.
luckily she posted a link to a youtube tutorial on how to re-create that bow hairstyle.

so i showed winnie that and she told me it's lady gaga inspired.

honestly, given that size of the bow on her head,
i presume that it would give her headaches whenever she dons that hairstyle.

and my first impression is why this ang mo singer has this thai trans sounding name.

this japanese lady is damn good at hair tutorials.
she's way better than those hairstylists in nrwzd which i never ever get what the hell they are doing, so now totally skip all those episodes regarding hair.

as to why this jap lady is good:
1. her demostration is very clear and pretty easy.
2. i don't even need to rely on verbal instructions simply because i can't understand japanese.

yes.

and because i found her hair tutorials,
i'm aborting my plans to cut my hair tmr.
only going to TRIM.
