digging strawberry shortcake~~
shall upload some photos of the cakes that i've tried so far at the
canele.
coz muay fan and i went there again today.
haha.
love the place..
love the cakes.
my first time there with muay fan..

- macarons:
recommended for people with a super duper sweet tooth.
not for muay fan nor i.
- le royale:
mainly chocolate mousse with a hint of rum.
*thumbs up*
- the dark chocolate sponge cake:
very nice to me, but muay fan thought it was far too "dark".
today's order:
- triple chocolate cheesecake:
muay fan thinks the cheese part is a bit too hard, whereas xf thinks it's nice.
cheese cake isn't my cup of tea..
but the brownie layer at the bottom is!
- strawberry shortcake:
couldn't resist ordering it AGAIN.
just damn damn nice.
i forgot to mention i hate cream!
but.
guess what?
i finished
all the cream on the cake because it's super duper nice..
not too sweet..

the cake has everything i dislike/ hate [ie. cream and strawberry].
but now i'm saying that it's a MUST try item??
judge for yourself how much i love it.
i found out that canele actually holds caking classes for the public.
$120 for 2.5hr class, inclusive of all materials, ingredients and light refreshment.
so damn ex can?
if they can guarantee a *baking idiot like me will be able to bake whatever they teach in class at home..
then probably i can reconsider.
haha.
*baking idiot: someone who would still fail miserably even if she resorts to those pre mix pack.alright.
enough about cakes.

while we were having our cakes there today,
these 2 guys were sitting at the next table and because the place is like so cramped, we could heard their conversation.
guy A: i wish i had a car...
a typical answer from a friend would be: go buy then..
but..
his friend's was "may god bless you with a car."
hahaha..
how dumb??!
anyway anyway anyway!
i guess i did mention before that whenever i go out with pet,
we would always plan the theme of the day.
eg: cute, nua etc..
now.
i've gotten muay fan to plan if we're going to have 大浓妆 or 淡妆 when we go out.
haha..
so happened that today she decided to have the 大浓妆 thing..
and i went about taking out my super neglected liquid foundation and eyeshadows.
then i realised i was really in a serious need to get a black liquid liner.
simply because my only blue liquid liner would look weird with brown eyeshadow.
been planning for months to get it through nordstrom.
well.. eventually gave up and got it at the counter today.
like
FINALLY.
almost got another blusher today.
it's damn pretty!!!!
REALLY!!!
i think i might be tempted to buy that again when we go out next week for shopping for eileen's present.
i also want a brush at the next tangs 12% sale!

i made a mistake.
ah gong's cake was from hyatt.
anyway..
the blackforest cake was very yummy!
by far, i though pine garden's one was good enough.
coz you can taste a tint of liquor in the cake.
but.
only at the very first bite.
for the hyatt's one..
it's like more than half way through the cake,
you still can "taste" the presence of the liquor.
yup.
the best has to be the cherries on the top of the cake.
totally soaked in liquor!

the must try has got to be the strawberry shortcake.
and this is
not coming from a strawberry person.
but if you are a more of a cake person and not a mousse person[ like me],
the strawberry shortcake would be delightful!
trust me.
it's a super nice surprise!!
talking about that..
now i've got to decide if i want the hyatt blackforest or the canele strawberry shortcake for my next birthday..

rotted the afternoon at mos with muay fan.
we were just blabbering some nonsense and planning our shopping list.
perhaps another round tmr.

her friend is like so damn inefficient can?!!

friends around me are starting to be concerned about their eyes.
typical comment would be "my eyes are ageing! "
it may be about dark circles..
or fine lines...
or puffy eyes.
personally..
my main concern about eyes now is fine lines.
damn shitty.
they don't actually improve, let alone disappear no matter how much eye cream you buay on them.
but at least they don't upgrade to longer/ more fine lines or perhaps wrinkles???
more or less given up on solving the dark cirles problem.
it's like useless no matter what product i use.
anyway..
in fact i've incorporated anti ageing products into my regime.
cleanser: anti ageing.
cleansing oil: anti ageing.
moisturizer: anti ageing.
serum: anti ageing.
sun block: anti ageing.
if i do mask everyday,
2 days would be set aside for deep cleansing/ detox.
2 for hydrating.
2 for anti ageing [eg collagen, Q10, red wine]
1 for whitening.
hahaha..

she has this new hobby which is to forward me mailers from mac.

just like the other day when i met up with muay fan..
we chatted till damn late before going home.
it's like.. we forever have tons to update, gossip with each other.
today's topic revolved around this friend of hers.
so muay fan was complaining about how "weird" this friend is because she's forever running to her for advices and yet never ever take them seriously.
yea.. and this topic went on non stop for close to 2 hours.
more about that another time..
iff i decided to post an entry about skincare/ makeup.
anyhow, we went for dinner at this japanese place at taka's b2, the one right opposite gnc.
damn nice can?
price is rather reasonable as well.
after which we ate our gelato on the way to shaw to catch mama mia.
it's very entertaining with a stupid storyline.
but still.. entertaining mah..
especially when pierce brosnan opens his mouth to sing.
hahaha..
just couldn't stop laughing.
when he appeared in the movie,
muay fan was like
'omg.. 好好的james bond 不要演... come and act in this..'
hahaha..
all i say is...
what a
mesmerising voice for such a man..
after the movie, we walked all the way to hmv.
muay fan got the soundtrack of the movie..
she claimed that when one is feeling upset/ down, just listen to pierce brosnan sing.
meanwhile, i got one of the abba's compilation cd.
of course..
i'm listening to it now.
well.. i've been liking abba since don't know when..
i really like their catchy tunes and cheesy lyrics.
i also love the carpenters..
so if there was to be a "close to you" movie,
i would definitely go for it.

fulfilling day~
as usual, was late today.
despite taking a cab to town.
the cab was travelling at a humble speed of 80km/h.
great.
i said i wanted to go cut my fringe right?
but too bad..
alvin wasn't around.
i shall try tmr again when i go to town with muay fan.

anyway..
today's shopping was very fulfilling.
i bought eveything that is listed on my shopping list.
- 1 small crumpler bag
- 1 eastpak backpack
- 4 rubber bands
do make a guess what colours are my newly bought bags..

i kept pestering xf to choose for me..
but.. somewhere in me, i've decided on the colours already.
haha.
and that eastpak is like crazily expensive.
i actually wanted to get a jansports one..
and it's only $29.90?
for the same kind of design..
if there is any to speak of in the first place.
but the thing is...
it seems like that plain design is out of stock everywhere now.
so i had to settle for the eastpak one..
which is... $69.90???
crazy right?
i'm also crazy enough to buy such a bag.

today was ma's "华人生日"..
so i was requested, by her, to cook 红鸡蛋 for her.
i thought it was damn simple lar..
but when i woke up this morning,
i realised that i don't even know how to make hard boiled egg.
very 厉害right?
so.. i had to call ah ma to get her to help me.
well.. i managed to settle the 红鸡蛋 episode pretty fast.
the best part is.. tmr is bai baba's turn.
and that's another round of 红鸡蛋 making for me.

[[ contact lenses ]]i bought the acuvue contact lenses while i was in msia.
it was my first time wearing..
and gosh.
it's damn siap can?!!
the feeling is as though i'm wearing a pair of more than a month's old lenses instead of a total brand new one.
hence..
biomedics will remain as my personal favourite.
[[ thursday ]]will be out with xf tmr for movie and shopping.
my shopping list is as follows:

the car episode
the talks about buying a family car has been going on and off even before i got my license.
i mean... ever since i started learning.
bai baba said he would buy me one when i got the license..
所以老娘务必要pass.
after i got it,
bai baba wanted to buy me one..
ma refused as she felt that it wasn't necessary.
fine.
so be it.
today, ma told me that they would help me 养车 if i buy one.
meaning.. they sponsor part of it, and the rest are on me.
if you were me, would you want to buy one?
considering a handful of given foreseen circumstances.
1. ma: ah gong, ah ma are going XXX for holidays.. can you send them to the airport/ pick them up at the airport?
2. ma: ah gong/ ah ma needs to go to the hospital for check up..
you send him/ her there.
3. ma: eh.. baba came home late last night..
you drive me to the market, let him sleep in.
4. ma: i want to go to the food fair at expo..
let's go.
5. bro: zei... i have to be in school very early tmr.

basically, i'm responsible for my ah gong and ah ma..
coz i'm the only grandchild with license and car [if i do buy].

i simply can't resist the tangs sales.
the 12% is too much for me to resist!
1. chanel natural finish pressed powder.
super finely milled.
though ysl one is even more finely milled than chanel, i highly prefer chanel's packaging.
packaging matters!
2. chanel irreelle blush in 'in love'
super chio colour.
3. shu umera cleansing oil.
it's damn good for removing waterprood makeup.
and i mean
DAMN.
cleanses off the stubborn mac liquidlast even better than mac's own eye makeup remover.
4. shu umera eyelash curler.
heard from deb that it's gd.
5. stila's cheek colour.
a very random buy..
but since i'm into coral/ apricot colour for blush,
just buy.
it's relatively cheap anyway.
only $26 because i got the refill without the casing.
oh.
you know..
i was damn tempted to buy chanel's exceptionnel mascara.
it's damn good coz i was given a sample of it a mth back.
and again.
i mean
DAMN.
it's like without curling your lashes beforehand,
your lashes will still be volumnised and curled after applying the mascara.
it's waterproof, smudgeproof as well..
comes off easily with shu's cleansing oil.
anyway, the chanel MA was really nice to give me another extra 2 exceptionnel samples.
and i gave 1 to muay fan.
as of now, i've got like fifteen blushers.
more to come..
and i'm leaning towards coral/ apricot colours as i've said.
see for yourself that my blushers aren't of the same shades/ tones.
but of course..
the lighting isn't fab.
if you still think there are some of the same shades,
do come over to my place and check them out.
my room is now tidy and clean enough to have friends around.
if you look carefully enough,
you can see that one of my blushers actually has a hole in it already.
so.. who says i'm never going to start finishing them??
anyway.. those were stuff from yesterday.
i was down at tangs with muay fan for one more go this evening.
haha.
and i got a shiseido lipstick for ma.
because the stila cheek colour looks damn pathetic [in terms of packaging],
so i super 舍得 use it.
nice and natural colour!!
i shall use it super frequently now.
lastly,
i may not be contactable from friday onwards.am porting my number over to singtel.
and i'm like expecting it to be unsuccesful.
if heng heng, it's successful,
i should be getting my new phone next week!
