i had a great birthday today.
however, it's one of the most un-birthday feeling birthday.
if you do get what i mean..

basically, the day was spent shopping and having good food.

first off, birthday lunch with winnie at the crystal jade korean bbq place at taka.
she said that the food there was good, so i went to try it out.
and we got carried off with ordering our food, which we couldn't finish in the end.

we honestly did shop around for quite a bit and got a couple of stuff.
there was the 20% sale for metro and uob card members and i got a new bottle of sk ii skin signature cream.
as for winnie, she got herself a laptop bag and two pairs of footwear.

oh.
i sent my gucci wallet for repair today.
it was a little torn.

guess what?
the SA actually told me that my wallet may be beyond repair, but she would send it in for repair first and see what the repair team says.

= =
i seriously do not think that my wallet is in such a terrible state.
and.
repair doesn't come free alright.

for dinner, i had a seafood zi char feast with my family.
omg..
the crabs are to die for!!!

now, moving on to the present i supposedly got for myself.
a louis vuitton zippy wallet epi noir.
it's time to have a new wallet!
now you know why muay fan bought me wallet charm right?








this may look very boring to you,
but i bought it for a purpose.
hopefully it serves its intended purpose!

anyhow, the SA saw that i was using my ludlow epi rouge and asked if i love epi leather.
i do think so..




lastly, sunya sent me this grumpy looking chick to wish me happy birthday.

i went tao's for birthday lunch with bacca on tuesday.
not my birthday, but hers.
we're four days apart.

i don't think i've posted much food photos from tao's,
so this is a complete one this time round.




starter: bacon & mushroom gratin




salad: prawn roll with pork floss
we both had the same salad.




salad: top shell salad with cold japanese noodle
because we couldn't make up our mind as to which salad to choose,
we actually got this as a complimentary salad.

soup: pumkin soup
it's a MUST try.
this is the ONLY pumkin soup i drink.




main entree: marinated rack of lamb [for me]




main entree: slow-cooked pork back ribs [for bacca]




dessert: creme brule
i always go for this.
super not adventurous, i know.




dessert: tiramisu




beverages: iced grap mallow tea for bacca and iced summer peach tea fo me.


the food there is definitely nice and worth a try.
needless to say, service is superb!
this time round, i brought along my empty bottle to have this i can't remember what tea filled in it.
it's just so~~~ damn nice smelling!!

all in all, a satisfying meal.

muay fan asked me out for dinner tonight.
i was a bit suspicious when she insisted that we meet especially when we were meeting at 10pm.
yes, 10 pm for dinner.
more like supper huh?

anyway, i sort of guessed that she was going to pass me my birthday present.

i had ZERO clue as to what she was giving me.

1. mac pink cult
i was in jb when this was launched, so i got muay fan to help me pick it up.
somehow it became part of my present.

2. mac marine life
THIS was the damn highlight powder which i just 抢不到 back then.
after missing it when i was in hk, we were looking for it high and low in kl and again in hk.

she ended up buying this at a marked up price online.
furthermore, she had to "hunt" for it.

3. chanel chance eau tendre
this has been the perfume i've been wanting!!
i was just about to 下手了!




4. samantha thavasa cupcake charm

she got me this because i apparently said that i wanted to get such charms to accessorize my wallet.
btw, this can be a handphone charm too.

honestly, i don't remember saying that i want this exact one.
so i told her that she didn't have to pay such close attention to what i say.
most of the time, i just forget about them.
hahaha.

anyhow, this is definitely going to come in handy.

if i'm such a fan of accessorizing my bags,
i shall start to accessorize my wallet whenever possible!

oh.
muay fan told me that she initially wanted to get this samantha wallet which i really like,
but it was out of stock.

luckily she didn't get that for me.
you will know why soon.

i'm starting to think that people may be getting this impression that i'm such a samantha thavasa fan.
haha.

the only reason why i hardly paint my nails with glitter nail lacquers is because they are such a nightmare to remove!
somehow i would be "scrubbing" the nail lacquer off and end up with glitters all over my hands.

p/s: i was so amazed by the results that my 'omg' woke bai baba who was napping in the living room.

ever since japan was hit by a series of disasters,
it has been really depressing to watch/ read those news reports.
it's unbelievable how much misfortune can happen in a matter of a week.

no doubt japan is probably the country that can "cope" with this crisis the best,
i do believe that they still need a lot of help.

anyhow, i went jb twice this week.
once on monday with ma and today with muay fan.

ma and i checked out the new KSL mall on monday because it's the biggest mall in jb.
but honestly, the stores there aren't really our cup of tea.
we did our nails at a super huge nail palour,
but their skills were just so so.

prices are slightly cheaper than the one at jusco.
classic pedicure is at 38RM and a classic pedicure with manicure is only at 60RM.
since it was so cheap, i picked up the tab.






aren't my fingernails colours so spring-y??
pastel colours are such a great way to welcome spring!




i was so excited when i saw that mcdonalds is having this mango peach sundae and mcflurry!
eon ago, the peach sundae was available in singapore and it was my absolute favourite sundae!
so i HAD to try this.

but.
it was so damn disappointing.
super crappy.
i would say DONT try.




stuff we got from etude house.
a green tea hand cream for ah yi, a peony hand cream for ma and a nail polish for ah ma.

other than these, i lugged back my usual supplies of berry essence, contact lenses.
oh, and both of us went on a heels spree.

as for today, muay fan and i decided to go to jusco.
please don't ask us what we like about jusco, especially when it's so far away from city square.

it was time to change nail colour.
i opted for pow wow bling this time round,
opi hurry up, don't be late and bring on the bling.
muay fan took opi funky donkey.

muay fan kept saying that she felt so damn happy eating the ice cream.
super satisfying!




mac was having a huge wonder woman event at the atrium.
the SAs kept approaching us to ask if we wanted to try the products.

oh.
i sort of influenced muay fan and we went on a shoes spree too.
hahahaha!

we both got a pair of wedges in different design.
and i persuaded her to change into hers for the rest of the day.
hahaha.

i'm absolutely excited about wearing mine tmr.
like.. WOAH.




skincare i got today.

now, the o2 white mask is from etude house and according to muay fan, it works miracle.
and it really does.
for a while at least.
haha.

you ought to try it out on your hands in store yourself.
my experience is that give it a couple of minutes and you can see your skin brighten!
it's MAD obvious, at least a shade lighter.
I SWEAR.

honestly, if you're an etude house fan,
going jb to buy their products is so much more worth it.
those korean brands are forever having sale for god knows why reason.

for eg, i got this mask at 22RM, compared to 20+sgd if you were to get it here.
do the math.

as for the naruko job's tears whitening and cooling night gelly,
it's a brand of 老牛 and i've been wanting to try it but simply too lazy to order online.
so i got it at a cart at 49RM.

i thought that was pretty reasonable given that i get to get the product straight away.
anyway, after factoring in the shipping costs, it would be around that price too.

again, i lugged back a dozen of prune essense this time.
haha.

an invitation to samantha vega launch party!

now, this is one korean drama i'm a little enthusiastic about.
it's about how six students in this kirin art school work towards their dreams of becoming stars.

i've got three favourite characters in this drama, ranked in this exact order.

1. Yang Jin Man
he's the english teacher of the school and he's FREAKING funny.
once he appears, you know you're in for some good laugh.
hahahaha!

though he's supposedly the english teacher,
he is apparently capable of teaching singing, dancing and blah blah.
very 多才多艺!

anyhow, he's actually the boss of 2pm and miss A in reality.
i shall just say that this boss really super 爱演!!


2. Song Sam Dong
he's definitely not shuai,
but he's cute and... toot.

full stop.
hahahaha.


3. Go Hye Sung
She's a super minor character in the drama, the sister of this female lead, hye mi.
this little girl really can act.
i love seeing her looking super annoyed!




ending off with the ost of dream high.
the song is very catchy and nice!

stuff i bought while shopping these two days.

since it was birthday month, i bought some stuff to stock up from watsons!
face mask, foot mask, vitamin c and sunscreen!

as to why yet another sunscreen,
that's because this dhc one is meant to be sprayed onto the face.
fabulous when i need to run out of the house!

at tangs sale yesterday, i got a keihls cranberry lip balm and a pack of disposable mascara wands from mac.

this is so ridiculous.
the keihls cranberry lip balm actually costs $2 more than a regular one because it's "limited edition".

anyhow, i'm happy now that i've got both cranberry lip balms,
one with spf and one without.
the without one is meant for night time usage.

i was complaining to muay fan about the stupid $2.
and she said "you need a cranberry one for night use?"

my reply?
you know.. sometimes one can get hungry at night.

hahahahaha!
both of us laughed like crazy over that.

picked up my elizabeth arden eye cream and some kose samples from metro.
i used the eye cream once and it's so~~ my cup of tea!
i love gao gao kind of eye cream!

oh.
muay fan and i caught the 'ghost' movie yesterday!
omg...
i simply couldn't concentrate during the movie!
hahahaha!

the threate was like 30% filled and we were the only two idiots who kept giggling over some nonsense.
opps.
i'm sorry.

when it's supposed to be touching scenes,
we would shoot each other THAT look and started wanting to laugh all over again.
hahahahaha!

anyhow, i really did enjoy the movie nevertheless.
and song dao cai cai zi is still so freaking chio!!

not exactly an absolute fan since i've yet to finish reading the entire 24 books.

all thanks to one of my better friends in class, victoria.
i was like.. why is she always reading tintin??

it's such a pity we don't keep in contact now.
because we used to be such great friends in class,
deb, she and i.
i probably would have been super miserable without the two of them in 3S1/ 4S1 then.

we used to call her 'ah hao' because she had the same kind of hairstyle as sharon au back then.
and we had SO much fun joking about that!

anyhow, i came to know that there's an "official" tintin shop in chinatown and i went to check it out today!
it's the second store in asia and the first is in japan.

mac wonder woman collection was launched at tangs last tuesday.
in the meantime, other counters would be launching it some time next week.

actually, the only thing which i really wanted from this collection was the mightly aphrodite blush.
but i ended up coming back with 2 other items, opulash in victorious and msf in pink power.



the packaging is so nice!
even the boxes are well designed!



i've never tried the opulash mascara before,
but according to my mac ma, haizah, it's smudgeproof.
and she sort of psycho-ed me to get the purple one.

first coloured mascara i've gotten.
excited, yet i've got no idea when i'm going to start using it.

some items in the collection had been supersized.
perhaps it was to reflect on the theme?
*shrugs*

there are supersized liquid eyeliner, lipglasses, blushes and msfs.
i thought that was a tad crazy.
no way am i ever going to hit pan!

so, that's how SUPERSIZED the stuff are.
ridiculously supersized.
indeed WONDER woman.

i haven't gotten around to try the blush and the mascara.

there's this blush in there called pink cult which i HAVE to get.
that colour looks AMAZING!!
