[[ one ]]i went shopping with winnie tonight and got myself a top which i really like.
i think i'm going to go look for some nice dangling earrings if i'm going town again on thursday.
it's been a while since i've gotten myself dangling earrings.

he was jay walking and....
he was raising his right hand as he was dashing across the road.

[[ three ]]i've been getting calls these days from a friend who i haven't been in contact with for quite a long time.
to begin with, i'm not even that sociable a person.
and we aren't even that close to bother keeping in contact with each other.
so, needless to say, i refused to pick up any of his calls.
conclusion is, if you aren't someone whom i've been in touch with constantly,
please do not call me.
if it's that urgent, message me instead so that i would know what you want from me.

supper last saturday at the roti prata house.
the mushroom cheese is mad nice!
in fact i think that it was even nicer than the last time i had it quite a while ago.

the usual thursday town trip with muay fan was postponed to today.
and.. we ate quite a bit?
the pastas from cedele are really not too bad.
check out muay fan's rose curry chicken pasta [somewhere along the line].
i kept asking her how her mee rebus was throughout the meal.
hahaha.
i don't know what this is called,
but it's from the food segment in ion basement.
muay fan loves this..
i'm just amazed by the egg.
goodwood park's durian season is going to end this sunday,
so we thought we would go satisfy our durian cravings before it ends.
but.
guess what?
i didn't even finish a third of my crepe.
the durian paste in there today was mad bitter.
like. super.
i'm a lover of bitter durians,
but not THIS bitter.
just like how dark chocolate lovers don't necessarily love 99% dark chocolate.
and that's not all.
i can take it if it's really bitter.
but.
it tasted that tiny bit sour.
and.
it tasted like it had soda mixed in it.
i'm dead serious.
i can feel that sizzling effect on my tongue.
and.
muay fan's crepe had like salt concentrated at different parts of it.
my god.
super sub standard durian crepes we had today.
totally not worth the drive down.
conclusion:
Don't go for the durian pastries when the season is coming to an end.
you're better off eating those 50 cents durians.
anyhow, we didn't buy much today.
i'm motivated to save up for something.
today, fifteen july, is day 1.
we shall see how determined/ disciplined i can be at this.

i figured out that this would be good when i'm going to be out for a short errand, when i wouldn't be carrying a huge bag or whatsoever.

haul series: random
it's been quite a while since i took a break from work from the time i came back from my holidays.
so.. i decided to declare holidays these two days and just spend both shopping and feasting away!
basically, sunya and i were out yesterday in town.
we had the buffet lunch at carousel at royal plaza on scotts.
i only took this photo at the start of the buffet.
obviously, the rest of the time, we were too caught up with the great food.
the live prawn herbal soup was mad nice.
i mean the live prawn part, not the soup.
they were ABSOLUTELY the freshest and very "meaty"!
becase you are consuming them within minutes of their deaths.
okay.. that doesn't sound very positive.
after lunch was the usual shopping and stuff.
as for today, sunya, muay fan and i were in town the first part of the afternoon.
after that, sunya left and we went over to city hall to shop.
you know, muay fan and i were at forever21 when we started talking about c and fos.
wah.. the stories muay fan fed me with were so exciting.
like.. OMG.
and we were on this topic for quite long.
i conclude that muay fan's interpreting skill is as good as mine.
hahahaha!

the largest bottle of philosphy purity one step facial cleanser, 24oz [709.7ml].
this stuff is OH MY GOD.
sunya gave me a trial size to try and i love it to bits!
it's just too bad that it's so difficult to get in sg.
true colours in nac does carry philosphy but they are always out of stock for the purity cleanser.
like.. just how hard is it to replenish your stocks?

haul series: beijing trip
i didn't get much during my trip to beijing.
honestly, there isn't much decent shopping done except for the day we went to joy's city in xidan.
now, special thanks to muay fan because she was the one who told me joy's city.
i had smsed her to help me check out certain stuff and she told me of it.
obviously, i bought a few more items than those that are being featured here.
but, they are just "nonsense".
for eg, silk quilt and a set of silk pillow cases?
hahahaha.
i insisted on buying the silk pillow cases because i heard that they sort of prevent you from waking up to a head of frizzy hair and apparently they are good for your skin?
and... i bought pearl powder?
reason being i thought it would be good to make some diy mask at home with them?
beauty stuff again.
if you haven't noticed, all the items in the photo were bought at duty free shops.
my regular sk ii products and elizabeth arden eye serum.
oh!
i totally had no idea why,
but i went on an eye cream fit and came home with three eye skincare!

the other two were from kiehl's were bought at the beijing airport.
seriously, the duty free at the airport sucks.
i was telling my parents that we HAD to check in early, like 3 hours ahead of our flight, because i wanted to go to the duty free area to shop.
but guess what?
only a convenience store and the beauty store were opened as it was close to midnight?

aren't duty free stores supposed to be opened 24/7??
it doesn't make sense that they close at the same time as their city counterparts.

anyhow, the lipstick looking product is an eye cream with spf.
that isn't available in sg, and it was cheap, at most 40sgd?
and i bought the avocado one too, thinking that we don't have it in sg too.
but i was wrong about that.
well, i've tried the avocado one and it's very creamy and a tad oily.
so you do want to make sure you massage it right into your skin.
the last keihl's item is an overnight peel.
i bought this because i've been wanting it for very long and it's slightly over 100 here,
whereas i got it for 75sgd in beijing airport?
super good deal!

durian~
last wednesday, sunya and i went to goodwood park for some dessert.
basically, she was nice enough to go with me just so i satisfy my durian craving!
for the month of june, there was this special mao shang power puff for sale.
that, was the aim for the day.
i HAD to try just how special this was.
i honestly didn't expect it to be this huge.
it's a tad bigger than a regular bun.
the filling in it was so omg much!
my conclusion is, the filling was stronger in terms of taste and smell compared to that in a regular durian puff the hotel has.
and.. i would say this is indeed worth the price, given how much durian filling there was.
