muay fan wanted to purchase some sigma brushes, so i tagged along and got these.
[[ one ]] dry n shape system
this is basically a brush roll which is designed for you to completely dry and shape your brushes within 4-6 hours.
i tried this the very day i got it. i deep cleansed my brushes at night, and placed them in the brush roll as per instructions. i can't say that they were all completely dried the next morning. they somehow still felt that bit damp and i'm talking about those very dense kind of brushes.
[[ two ]] flat definer E15
i meant to have this used with my laura mercier tightline cake eye liner. have yet to try the liner out because i can't seem to find the chance to do so. i'm waiting for days where i wouldn't be too lazy to put makeup and am only going to be out for a couple of hours. i don't want to end up like a panda just in case this smudges badly.
[[ three ]] angled top synthetic kabuki- F84
such dense brushes just attract me! decided to try this out especially when i learnt that this could be used for liquid foundation.
i've been eyeing this for ages after reading a positive review of it! the thing was that it just came in about a week ago. i somehow don't find myself skipping primer whenever i put on makeup.
anyhow, this primer is somewhat shimmery. however, once you spread it out, you can hardly detect the shimmers. other than that, i don't find it to be something really wow.
also, the packaging is so gorgeous. a pump is also included and that does make dispensing an easy job.
[[ five ]] eye definer in midnight brown 02
this is just a eye liner pencil which comes with its own sharpener. i bought it just so that i get the gift with purchase.
to be honest, i was skeptical about this pencil. all the eyeliner pencils i've tried so far smudge on me. that's the reason why i always opt for liquid liner.
i simply wanted the gift with purchase. this was the cheapest item i could get to qualify for the $100 mark. i was desperate alright? anyway, i came back that night regretting like crazy.
well.. i tried it the next day and even went to the extent of bringing my concealer and liquid eyeliner out just so i can clean up the mess and re-line my eyes. oh yes, it isn't very creamy and doesn't go on as smoothly as urban decay 24/7 or mac powerpoint.
but. WOAH. it didn't smudge!!!
okay.. perhaps it's because that day wasn't humid and hot enough.. perhaps it's because i only wore it for 5+ hours that day..
so.. i wore it once more the day after. WOW! it didn't smudge again!!! this time, the weather was humid like mad and i wore it for 9 hours straight!
so.. try this!! it's only $33 and comes in 5 different colours and its own sharpener!
here's the gift with purchase i was literally dying to get. it's a mini lipstick in their best selling colour, cameo pink 03. this is so freaking cute can??!
you probably notice from the previous photo that it's only slightly bigger than the sharpener!
even though this is a gift with purchase, it even has an embellished burberry check pattern on the lipstick. mad cute!!
now, for some ranting. honestly, the stuff from burberry beauty are priced around the same as chanel stuff. and.. i can't say that their service is good.
i probably went to the counter at least 4 times just to ask if this fresh glow is in already. everytime i ask for a sample, i would get that "oh.. we don't have a sample for this" answer.
that, is plain annoying.
hello?? i am asking for a liquid foundation sample. i definitely need to try it out for a day at least to see if the finish, lasting power, shade suit my likings.
i just conclude that their sa aren't the least bit in serving customers.
but. i've got to compliment this sa by the name of mindy. i don't even know how she looks like because she served me over the phone.
she was very nice to ask if i wanted to reserve the fresh glow and assured me that she would call me once it's in and stuff. of course, i didn't take her seriously.. i just thought she was patronising me.
but no. she did call me to pick it up when it was in like at least 2 weeks later. at the very least, she didn't forget about reverting back to her customers.
that, is highly appreciated.
shall stop here now. i'm going to place an order online now. anneyeong~

i came online with the purpose of sourcing items to buy, but i got pretty distracted because i'm listening to 蘇打綠's concert. ha. probably am not going to get much things done tonight.
anyhow, currently, i've got like as many as 5 separate haul entries coming up. obviously, each of them isn't like huge. but to make me combine them all in one is a tad too much for me.
we shall see then. anneyeong~

here's an entry on stuff i've gotten over the past month or so. didn't have the time to blog about them and i thought i wanted to try the products out first. and.. i do have a couple of recommendations and new found loves.
[[ one ]] for beloved one melasleep whitening vitamin c essence
i've got no idea what came over me that day i was in sephora. i just kept going back and forth the for beloved one display counter.
i remembered lao niu say something about how vitamin c is good for the skin, so i thought why not try it?
my god. the very next day, i could tell the difference! my face did look that little bit fairer and it felt soo~~ smooth. oh yes, my face felt more supple. on the second day, winnie did point out that i look fairer than usual.
i am so~~~ in love with this. definitely repurchasing this!
[[ two ]] for beloved one melasleep whitening bio-cellulose mask
sunya bought this and she said that she didn't feel that it did much to her skin. however, i went ahead and bought it. bare in mind, these aren't the least bit cheap. a box of 3 costs $63.
i tried it on monday and thought that it was pretty good. i did notice my skin whitening and brightening by that bit.
but, i'm not sure if i'm willing to keep up with this especially when it's so expensive and the results aren't like super wow.
of course, this mask would be come in very handy when you've got some special occasion that you need to be in tip top condition. this is more of a last minute kind of solution.
[[ three ]] dr jart+ acne x trouble care mask
i was desperate after bouts and bouts of pimple popping around my chin area. the past month was just horrible to the max.
i only know that if you're having breakouts near your chin/ jaw areas, you're probably feeling stressed or having some sort of hormonal imbalance.
for this, i can't say much about it. it's more of something that i use to put my mind at ease. at least i'm trying to solve the chin attack problem.
[[ four ]] bioderma micelle solution
this is basically a makeup remover for the face and eyes. you simply have to pour some on cotton pads and wipe your makeup off.
i've read many positive reviews on this and this tiny bottle just looks so adorable that i had to get one to try.
my thoughts on it? i don't quite like this because it doesn't remove waterproof mascara. i suppose this is meant to remove non waterproof makeup. so.. this isn't quite the product for me.
by the way, in case you're interested to try this out, i got this from the pharmacy at isetan scotts.
[[ five ]] steam cream in lucy in the sky tin
alright.. i'm not someone who religiously slaps on body/ hand cream on myself. far too troublesome to keep up with this habit.
nevertheless, i find myself wanting to buy a hand cream from time to time. for now, i've got mm.. 5 at home. if my memory didn't fail me.
oh yes.. those that advertised themselves as multi purposed are just so my cup of tea. they are the HARDEST to resist!
so here's my latest addition. this cream can be used on both the face and body. for me, i apply them on my neck and arms. and i love it!
it's moisturizing enough and has this lavender scent to it. i'm a fan of lavender scent!!
however, i do get that slightly oily, sticky feeling if i go overboard with the amount.
[[ six ]] vichy active anti-imperfection concentrate
i went bongus when i saw this at watsons because it had these three words on the packaging. SUDDEN LOCALISED BREAKOUTS.
i stared at pet [she was with me then] and said "OMG!! IT'S ME!! SUDDEN! LOCALISED! IT'S TALKING ABOUT ME!!" i just HAD to get it.
and god. it does work! i wouldn't recommend it though, simply because i'm not too sure if this will work on those pimples that aren't sudden and localised? hahaha.
[[ seven ]] mac studio finish concealer in nc 20
yet another purchase to attend to my sudden, localised chin attack. oh please, the SA actually told me to get nc 30 initially.
i was SHOCKED.
WHAT?? NC 30??! are you sure?? since when i'm THAT dark?!
i stuck to my own opinion and got nc 20 anyway. this is so much a better match to my skintone.
anyhow, this concealer isn't bad. it is very pigmented so you only need that bit to cover up the zit. and it does last and not just disintergrate after a few hours.
with that, i'm finally done with my series of mini reviews. that is quite a bit of products i've tried recently huh?
out of the lot, my favourite ones are the for beloved one vitamin c essence and vichy sudden localised breakouts thingy.
do try them out if they interest you. anneyeong~

I just had to blog about this.
my bro and I seemed to be on the correct frequency tonight. we talked A LOT more than we usually do in a day.
and... we just did some online shopping together? that is MAD amazing given that he's always keeping to himself at home. perhaps he was 'touched' that i flew down to pick him up from camp yesterday? hahaha!
