now, today is the last day of 2010.
i must say that this year has been a pretty good one for me in all aspects.

i thought i would share my favourites of the year.
beauty and non beauty stuff.
so let's get started!

starting off with cosmetics..

- lipgloss: chanel aqualumiere in hirondelle, which i only remembered to include in the next photo.


moving on to skincare..



- toner: hada labo, honestly the best i've tried so far.

- night moisturizer: kanebo blanchir superior white deep night conditioner

- eye cream: estee lauder advanced night repair eye recovery complex

- multipurpose cream: egyptian magic cream, which i shared with ah yi, hence it's in the sephora tub.
my bag has a small tub of it most of the time.

- hair leave in serum/conditioner: essential rich preimer


next up, non beauty stuff.

- most complimented bag: samantha thavasa aimee bag in liberty prints
i've used it for 3 days straight and never have i gotten so many compliments for my bag.
that includes one from a total stranger who sat beside me on the bus.

oh.
and 90% of the time, people find the bear too cute to resist.
i'm like.. alright...




- most comfortable footwear: fitflops.
this is my second pair already and the model is walkstar I.
i swear that my legs don't ache a single bit in these, no matter the distance.




- most sought after drink: sen soh grass jelly
i lugged 18 of these home from sheng shiong.
that's the only place i can find it.

if i'm not wrong, i knew of this in jc?
it's just so damn good!
you've got to give it a try!




best book read: for one more day by mitch albom
it really made me reflect a lot when i was reading it.

but.
i sort of forgot what i reflected.
that's the funny part.
hahaha.

definitely one that i would re-read and re-reflect i guess.




lastly,
organizer for the past three years.

i know it's a tad unbelievable that i'm THAT obsessed with this particular snowy organizer.
the only time i got a different, but still snowy one was when kino didn't carry the red one.

by the way, snowy is tintin's dog.
and i LOVE tintin!
i'm even thinking of collecting the entire tintin series.

my illamasqua mail finally came!
i was so excited about it.
but when i opened it, i realised that the cream blush i ordered was missing!
that was so damn sickening!!

i emailed its customer service, only to get a mail saying that they are out of office till 4th jan.
wth.

i'm suspecting that the cream blush was out of stock when they mailed out the stuff.
by the time i get a proper reply from them,
i think the missing blush will only arrive just before cny if i'm lucky.

*argh*

oh well..
i doubt i will have much problem with that.
illamasqua has pretty good customer service.

in case you aren't familiar with this brand from uk,
here's a little on its history in a catalogue which came in the parcel.



personally, i love the last line:

anyhow, the stuff came packaged very nicely.
everything would have been perfect if not for the mia blush.

colours i got were hussy [bright candy pink ] and lover [soft apricot].
those description in brakcets were taken straight from their website.
also, all their powder blushes are matte.



muay fan helped me choose lover, whereas i picked hussy myself.



swatches!
honestly, they are VERY pigmented.
those swatches i did were with a light hand.

so far, i haven't tried any of these yet.
because currently i'm obsessed with my 美肌一族 blush.
haha.

am EXTREMELY pleased with the stuff i got for christmas this year,
though there are only 3 to be exact.

well..
quality far exceeds quantity!
haha.




first off, a mickey mouse thumbdrive from hong kong!
isn't it just super duper cute?!

no, i HARDLY use thumbdrive.
but.. owning it is key!

apparently the person who gave me this, looked high and low for it when she was in hong kong.
that's so mega sweet!
fyi: i've expressed interest in this to her before.



i still can't bear to open the packaging yet.
hope the picture sort of explains the thumbdrive.




next up is a bag from zara which huat jiujiu got for me and winnie.

before this bag, i don't really have a bag in this shape and size.
this can be slinged across your body or on your shoulder.
it's perfect for bringing to jb!

love the metal chains and 栩栩 stuff that come along with the bag.
am so glad that i got huat jiujiu to get us this.
by the way, winnie was very happy about this as well.




lastly, the samantha thavasa bag which i've talk about last entry.
i forgot to mention that there are three ways of carrying it,
carry on your hand, sling it on your shoulder or across your body.

i'm intending to use this for the first time tmr!
excited!!

all in all, i love all of these presents to the max!

as mentioned in the last post,
i went chiong-ing to get christmas gifts for the family on thursday.

we were out for the entire day and at the end of the day, all except for me had such tired feet.
mainly because we were walking up and down town.
my bro really looked like he was going to collapse any moment.
hahaha!

but at least that day turned out to be really efficient.
we settled all the gifts needed.
needless to say, we 大包小包 went home.

our supper before we went back home.
needed to rest a bit before embarking on the journey home.

this bag comes in two sizes, small and large.
the one i got is small.
despite being small, it has 9 compartments in all.

was thrilled when sunya told me that samantha thavasa is opening in sg.
but i didn't 下手 when i saw the bag the first time, and it was soon out of stock.
so, i reserved one.

and now, i got sunya interested in their wallets.
would be helping her to reserve one so that she can get one when she gets back.

oh.
i was served by ths japanese SA.
she demo-ed ways to carry the bag.

my god!
MAD JAPANESE!
exactly those kind you see on the streets of japan!
oh well.. she's an authentic japanese.

after her demo, i was even more convinced that i had to have it.
besides, this is wonderful for travel!
and.. christmas is just the perfect excuse to get it!

when i showed sunya and muay fan over at whats app,
they both commented that the bear is adorable!

as for christmas eve, i went shopping at nex with ma.
didn't buy much since i'm terribly broke from all those shopping on thursday.

for dinner, we had ours at jack's place.
my family just loves that place.

for christmas eve and day, new year eve and day,
it offers special set meals which come with novelties.

dinner today was fabulous, like one of the nicest we've eaten there.
we got high for no reason and wore the party hats during the meal and ALL the way back home.

when we were going to take the lift back home,
this old couple came out of the lift and i think that aunty got a tad shocked by us.
hahaha!

as you can see, i'm all crazy over masking again.
ever since i used THAT black pearl mask pet gave me.

the big boxes are limited edition series and lao niu recommended them on nrwzd!
i ABSOLUTELY believe lao niu.. like 100%!
hahahaha!

here are the ones i got:
- tulip: 紧兹柔夫
- lily: 净白舒缓
- phalaenopsis: 美白润泽
- sunflower: 极度保湿

muay fan said that she loves the phalaenopsis one and lao niu recommended the sunflower on nrwzd.

i've only tried one sheet of the sunflower mask and i thought it wasn't too bad.
the mask adheres to the face pretty nicely and the serum gets absorbed into the skin pretty fast too.

if you've got the time to spare,
use the mask on your neck after you're done with your face.

if you're interested, get yours at guardian where there is a current promotion of 2 boxes at $12.90.
each box contains 5 sheet masks.




i've been trying this dhc acne spot therapy, $21.
so far it has been pretty effective.
when i apply on new pimples, it sort of prevents them from getting out of hand and exploding?

that sounds gross!
haha.




the other day at alt, i decided to get this because it was so cute looking.
also, the wordings on the packaging sounds too good to be true!

i tried this twice and i like the effect it gave.
so much that i couldn't stop telling muay fan about this on whats app.
it's a little glowy, definitely not those kind of greasy shine.

i'm not too sure if it does deliver that much of moisture to your skin [as "promised" by the product],
but it surely does make it appear that way.
so, to those who prefer a matte finish, this is an absolutely no no for you.

this is 5g at $4.90.
so, it's worth a try if you're curious about this.
afterall, just bin it if it isn't your cup of tea.

fyi: i'm definitely not a fan of bb creams.
don't believe in them.
muay fan did let me try this skin 79 bb cream which she loves,
but i still prefer my laura mercier tinted moisturizer.




THIS is the 压轴 for this entry.

my god!
this is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
and this, my friends, is coming from someone who owns over 60 blushers.

now, this is a japanese drugstore brand called 美肌一族 which is quite popular for their sheet masks in japan and they don't come cheap.

so i was curious about this and swatched it at alt.
the texture totally wow-ed me!
i can't exactly pin point what's so special about it,
it's just something really unexpected and you've got to swatch it yourself.

if i had to really put it down in words,
i would say it's a tad like cream to powder kind of texture.
it's very creamy, butttery and super easy to blend.

i just did a comparison with my nars cream blush.
the texture is almost the same as nars, or maybe even slightly better.
by just that tiny winy bit.



two swatches, one light handed and the other super heavy handed.

the colour i got was beige and the other one available was a pink.
don't worry about colour payoff, they are decently pigmented.

also, they have got shimmers in them.
but those shimmers don't make you look like a disco ball.

let me wear it for a few more times and it may become one of my top favourite blushers.
but for now, it's definitely the BEST drugstore one i've come across.
so fabulous that i was willing to fork out $20.90 for it.

by the way, this blush and the bb cream are what i would reach for.
because with this combination, i can forget about highlighting.
so that's one step skipped.

honestly.
the combination really gives a very nice, nude and natural finish.

But i was too curious about how the movie went to want to miss it.
Hence, i rented it and watched it with my bro.

It was FANTASTIC!!
Perhaps i should go rent the first nanny mcphee movie huh?

the kfc in malaysia is indeed slightly different from sg,

i didn't enjoy mine because i got chicken breasts.
hate them to the max!

the palour we go to always plays a movie to entertain the customers during their time there.

anyhow, the movie is called "nanny mcphee and the big bang".
we didn't finish it, so we will continue where we left off back home.

basically, we bought LOADS of food today.

back at home, we've got this basket where we put our titbits, food stuff on the dinning table.
so when i got back, i started piling the loot onto the basket.
and god!
i was surprised that 我堆出一座山来!!



now, obviously i didn't buy all these today.
but i contributed like half of it?
hahaha!

the thing was, my brother went genting and just got back after i did today.
and he contributed yet another big bag of titbits?
hahaha!

god knows how long these can last us..
probably a couple of months!

you probably would know that i'm very into brands berry essence.
whenever i go jb, i would lug some back because it's cheaper there.

the thing was i gave my bro some money for the holiday and i also asked him to help me lug some of these berry essence back for me.
i was like expecting atmost 2 boxes of them?



no.
he got me FOUR boxes, which makes that 2 dozens of berry essence!
and i got myself a box today as well.

now, my place is "flooded" with 35 bottles of berry/ prune essence?
some are from previous purchases.
wahahahahaha!

trust me, 4 boxes of those aren't light at all!

got the mascara because a youtuber said it was good,
so i shall give it a try since it's so cheap.

can't wait to try the skinfood masks!

now, this is something not related to today's jb trip.
but i want to talk about this very nice shop i came across in cineleisure.
it's a store that sells really pretty accessories and it's beside the new urban male store.



here are what i got.
the flora scrunchie was picked by winnie.
i didn't love it at first, but the print is getting on me now!
the colour is actually orange in reality.

got the scrunchie and ribbon hair tie with the intention to accessorise my bun when i do do it.
but i find that the scrunchie does look nice with a ponytail as well.

as for the earrings, they suit me just fine because i've got 3 earholes?
hahaha.

by the way, don't call them music notes.
they are quavers.

so far, i've been faithfully using the flora scrunchie and earrings.
love them!

the butterfly pins were given out to us at the concert by someone who i supposed is in the fan club or something.
and we could pin it on our clothes.

yesterday's concert rocked to the MAX!!!
and we were indeed in the first row.

but we were right at the side.

i paid so much to bloody SIT DOWN at a concert?!!

whatever.
half way through the concert, they gave up asking us to sit down anyway.
super idiotic.

overall, it was just a plain amazing concert.
and 青峰 sang really well, compared to the concert back in 2008.
thank god he didn't sing 小情歌!
i am so tired of listening to it that i become so 反感!

yes..
i know..
it's their 成名曲.
but it's definitely time for them to 封歌 for a few years now!

anyhow, back to the concert.
their style is different from jay chou's one.

let's put it this way.
jay chou, to me, is really a 偶像, like very 遥远 and very perfect kind.
but sodagreen is very 生活化.
in fact, their concert was like a huge ktv session.

do you sort of get what i mean?

i came back singing 相信 non stop!
it got so crazy that i brought my iphone into the bathroom to play their songs when i was bathing!

and winnie couldn't stop singing this 我赖你 song which they 翻唱.
