here's a long overdue entry on the f1 rocks concert.

人老了, high 几个小时就得recuperate for a few days.

we reached there around 6pm that day.

first off.
the entrance was like freaking far away.
and once we got past the entrance,
we realised that concert area was yet another walking distance.

picked a spot somewhere in the first half of the area.
relaxed and watched sodagreen still in the midst of their preparation.

so shiok can?
got to see 青峰 more.

大嘴巴 came on stage first.
was pretty happy that they only got about 40 odd minutes to perform.
okay.
i must say, their performance wasn't too bad.
at least above my expectation.

then..
woo hoo~~~
苏打绿's turn.

guess what happened?
the whole pa system broke down during their performance.

wah seh..
cursed like hell!!

and because of that, they struck a song off the list.
i mean.. at least one song.

anyhow..
both winnie and i were surprised that they had pretty many fans there,
when they're supposed to be 冷门 in sg.

then came ah mei.
the first 组曲 was pretty screwed up.
we couldn't hear her [something was wrong with her mic].
and..
her 合音天使 were louder than her?

i was like asking winnie...
"mmm.. how are we supposed to let her know that we can't hear her??"

thank god the problem was fixed.
we could really get to hear her 具有爆发力的 vocals.

and.
she did sing 掉了.
fabuuuuulous!

when it came to 黑吃黑,
i could only join in at the "it's bullshit!" part.
hahaha.

i must say..
the way she supposedly danced was somewhat all about the same.
and..
haha..
she walks like a peacock.
to me, that is.

not trying to mock at her.
i think it's cute okay!

then.
came the damn 45 minutes of waiting.
just for the stupid "歌神".

since the theme for that night was rock.
our 歌神 also dressed up as a rocker.
and that made me laugh my ass off.

seriously!
when he sang, i just couldn't stop wondering if i was watching a mad old man perform.

now this is so much better.

actually i didn't exactly get what he was singing.
he sang quite a fair bit of cantonese songs.
but his 吻别 was like...

and there was this fan of his right behind us.

she screamed till both winnie's and mine ears were muffled somehow.

that must be how we screamed when it was 苏打绿 and ah mei's turn.
hahaha!

just refused to 解放.

today, i met winnie to go down for this.



initially we wanted to go because we thought that we weren't going to get tickets for the f1 rocks concert.
and now that we are going,
nobody said anything about not wanting to go to this.
so there we were.

but now, i'm freaking glad we went.
you will know why later on.

anyway anyway.
the dj there kept repeating about buying the cd on the spot and getting a chance to win 1 f1 rocks concert ticket.
and there were 100 tickets to give away.

i wanted to get another cd to try my luck.
was feeling a tad bad about my brother not being able to go.

then winnie was like..
don't be crazy..
want so many cds for what right?

so forget it.

just before we got our tickets and albums autographed,
the dj said that there were still 5 tickets available for the give away.

so...
i decided.
okay.
just buy.
can give my brother mah..

after buying, got the chance to pick a ball from a box.
and surprisingly there were only 2 balls in there.

and.
gosh!
i picked the one that had "f1 tickets" written on it!!!

heng not?!!

i was stunned for the moment.
winnie was the one who first realised that we won a ticket.

wah..
her expression...
classic man!
she herself also said that i ought to capture her expression of the century.

and that lady, who was in charge of the lucky draw, gave us that very stonely look and said "yes.. you won."

hahaha.

went cycling with my family today at ecp.
wow..
it's been ages since we last went there.

no idea why..
the sun was pretty strong today.
but i wasn't the least bit disturbed about going under the sun.
perhaps that's because i smacked on a real decent amount of sunscreen on my face and neck.

i'm only paying attention to my face and neck.

i really love cycling.
so my future husband has to know how to cycle.

but no way am i going to share a bike with him.

i really DO NOT like them even though it may be "romantic" or what so ever.

anyway, cycling is probably one of the few activities the whole family engages in now.

we even went cycling in pulau ubin before.
but that wasn't exactly a very enjoyable trip.
imagine having to cycle for like at least 4 hours.

my legs really go jelly man.

nevertheless, i'm all for another cycling experience in ubin.
i guess the legs can go jelly once a year.

today's cycling was mere cycling.
not much of an interaction time because there were just too many people skating, cycling, walking their dogs, jogging blah blah.
you can only cycle and cycle and cycle.
can't sort of slow down and chat with anyone.

after returning the bikes to the rental shop,
we went to the hong kong cafe which is near to mcdonald's.
heard from someone that it's a pretty decent place.

the food there is definitely better than xin wang.
god knows why that xin wang can afford to open so many outlets when their food is like so~~ mediocre.

but the ambience [if there was any] was terribly bad.
there was a group of 3 singers there.
i would rather have my meal in peace.
not that their singing was bad.

another thing.
why the hell were there so many babies tonight?!
was like bombarded with babies' cries most of the time.

really terrible!
felt like slapping all of them.

well anyhow,
ma offered to give me the sunscreen that she bought from a beauty salon.
that stupid woman bought back ups and now decides that she can't even finish the first bottle before it expires.

especially when my sunscreen runs out every 2 months.

when i left my house in the afternoon, the bag was already gone.
so i thought great.
they've come pick the bag up.

but no.
today i came back home and saw this huge mess of clothes at the lift lobby.

only at a closer look did i realise those were the exact clothes i packed away.
and lying besides them was that rubi bag.

CAN YOU IMAGINE???!
some fucking arseholes are even stealing things meant for recycling??!!!

and now the smart thief made a great mess at the lift lobby.

and.
the best part was i went and cleared that mess and threw them all into the recycling bin downstairs.

there were some underwear of dunnoe who lying there as well?

met muay fan to do some shopping.
recently, we've got this crap thing that we do which is called the mission.
so whenever we get bored with shopping, we'll try to come up with the mission.

the mission could be anything from looking for a store, a particular item or "researching" for something.

today's mission was to do a research on loose powder, eye concealer and liquid foundation.
please don't think that we're always on lookouts for cosmetics.
i mean okay.. we are.. most of the times..
but not ALL the times.

as for why that's our mission today..
i needed to buy loose powder and eye concealer like really soon.
and she's contemplating on whether to get a new liquid foundation.

so we went to sephora at nac.
super shiok coz we weren't very much disturbed.
we just swatched and swatched.

i tell you.
i really am not into shimmers at this point in time.
it sort of puts me off.

70% of my face products contains them.
and i just need a change.
i want to expand my non shimmery yet promises radiant, glowy looks products.

yesh.

i must say that makeupforever loose powder amazes me.
it's able to give you the radiant, glowy look without being shimmery at all.

fyi: 80-90% of the products in the market, which are supposed to achieve this radiant look, contain shimmers.

but.
i decided that i want to get laura mercier loose powder online.

sigh..
i've got no idea why i'm so super supportive of laura mercier.
slightly obsessed with it i guess.

as for the eye concealer.
it's laura again.

was deciding between bobbi brown's and laura's.
turned out bobbi's one isn't as good as laura's.

as for liquid foundation..
muay fan was choosing between estee lauder's double wear and laneige's snow something.

estee lauder is definitely better than laneige.
according to kevin, it's the best selling liquid foundation in the world.

anyway.
the laneige dispenser is damn stupid.
it just pumps out too much foundation each time and it's the standard amount everytime u pump it.
super wasteful.

and.
the thing is i got quite scared of their makeup line after buying their loose powder a few years back.

honestly.
i think they are kinda cheater bugs.
i don't exactly think we'll be able to recreate that flawless look of 宋慧侨 with their products.

they just got the RIGHT 代言人.

earlier this week i was also in town with muay fan.
and we saw this pair of wedges that were like fucking nice at tangs.
they fitted my feet very well.

now let me explain what i mean by very fitting.
you know sometimes when you wear any kind of footwear, the front part will be like so elongated or squarish till it's damn ugly?
not for this pair.

but i couldn't bear to 下手 then.

today, we went because i couldn't stop thinking about it.
so.
i bought it.

came back..
very happy with my buy.
told winnie on msn about it.

then she asked me to measure the height since i told her it was pretty high.

gosh.
after measuring, i thought i was crazy.
it's 10.5cm!
which is like 4.1 inch.

i love it!

even if they turned out to be killer wedges,
i simply don't care!

like really happy that i'm able to help them?

for eg when debbie asked me about compact foundations/ two way foundations, i've got no clue about them.

have been pretty mia for the past week.
1. there isn't much for me to blog about.
2. i'm lazy to come up with things to blog.
3. i'm busy with other stuff, mere miscellaneous stuff.

anyhow, i've been hanging out pretty much with muay fan these days.
just happens that our schedules are pretty much the same.

caught the proposal at lido this evening.
funny.
i like movies along such lines.
just some brainless shows that you can have a good laugh over.
nothing much for your brain to process.

okay.
from now on, it's all going to be about cosmetics.
i don't care if i have been doing too much on them simply because my life right now is plain boring and to me, they are the most happening thing.
how sad.

anyway.
my loots for the week.



picked up mac's the perfect cheek blush and shared the push the edge pigments with muay fan.

damn.
she's generous.
gave me more than half, somemore in the original tub.

as for the perfect cheek, it's really very natural looking.
and my very first MATTE blush from mac.

no idea why..
but these days, the mac craze is like gone.
their stocks are like moving a lot more slower than it used to be.

that's good.
don't have to chiong down to the counters on the launch date.

talking about blusher.
i recently adopted this new way of applying blush with my new laura mercier angled cheek brush.

the thing is..
if you're to apply it heavy handedly, or don't do the blending well,
you look like you gana bbb.
ie. bbb= baseball bat

surely you've seen many girls on the streets donning the bbb style blusher.
wow~
i wonder how they even dare to wear that out on the streets.

anyway.
so i would literally chant to myself "blend blend blend" when i'm adopting that way of application.

next.
the laura mercier angled cheek brush.
the first time i took out to use it, i was *jaws dropped*.

WHY THE HELL IS IT MADE IN CHINA???!!!
i didn't notice that when i got it in japan okay.

never mind.
i sort of got over it.
afterall it's indeed a great brush.

just a few moments ago, i was doing some "research" on nordstrom as muay fan and i sort of agreed to order from there again.
and.
i started to compare the prices on nordstrom and over the counters in japan.

tmd.
first.
i realised i paid close to 100sgd for a CHINA made brush.
i must have gana gong tao.

second.
nordstrom is selling at 45 usd??
which works out to be approx 70sgd???!!

omg.
i CONFIRMED gana gong tao.
really fuck i tell you.

forget it.
let the gong tao episode be over.

with reference to the photo above,
muay fan gave me jardin aires pigments to try.
so nice.

got the mini shu uemera eyelash curler at dfs.
i finally found it!

been searching for it since i realised that the normal sized one isn't very suitable for my eye shape.
sort of kiap my lids very easily.
hence the search for the mini version.

i thought it was a permanent.
but it's not.
it's limited edition and discontinued.
can't be found in all the stores except the one at dfs.

imagine my excitement when i finally found it!
really 捡到宝!

for those who are interested,
the mini one is selling at $25 and the normal sized one is at $28.
however, there's a exclusive set available at dfs.
and it comprises of a mini and a normal sized one.
at a great deal at $38 or something.

too bad..
already have the normal sized one.



just to show you that there is really a difference in size between the two.
