pet and i went to bollywood veggies merely for lunch recently.
her sis, charissa, came along as well.

the last time i saw her was almost a decade ago.
that's like MAD long ago.
anyhow, pet was pretty amazed how well we clicked.

oh yes, just to refresh your memory.
bollywood veggies is a farm with a bistro in kranji.
and this isn't our first visit.
the last time we were there was perhaps two years ago.

this is the set i always order whenever i go.
i'm a person who always stick to the same choice once i discover something nice.
and.. i'm ADDICTED to the ramen soup.
it's just oh so freaking nice to me.

anyhow, do note that the chefs start cooking the dishes in the dinner menu at 6.30pm.
pet and i went there at 6pm the other day because we were so hungry.
in the end, we had to wait for half an hour before our food was served.

what policy is this?
i would rather they close shop till dinner time.

i've been a tad obsessed with online shopping these two months.
i promise this is my last online purchase for the year.

these aren't expensive on its own, ie exclusive of shipping.
it just happens that the trip consists of flavours which i could share with other people.
passion fruit for me, strawberry sorbet for pet and sweet mint for winnie.

so far winnie likes the scent of her sweet mint balm.
it smells like mentos to me.
mine has a very sweet fruity scent.

oh yes, the packaging is so pretty!

various brush sets from real techniques by samantha chapman

in case you don't know who samantha chapman is,
she and her sister are very well known beauty youtubers known as pixiwoo.
i must say that i really like them and their style.

anyhow, so i got these brush sets for muay fan and myself.
coincidentally, there was an ongoing 'buy one, get one at 50%' promotion going on.

the sets are the core collection [bronze colour], starter set [purple colour] and blush brush.

i just tried the blush brush today and i do quite like it.
need to get more usages out of it before i can conclude if it's really good.





philosophy turbo booster c powder

bascially, this is vitamin c powder which you can mix with your moisturizer or serum before applying to your face.
it's recommended for day use.

have yet to try this, but i'm just attracted to the word "vitamin c" especially after falling in love with the for beloved one vitamin c essence.
i seem to get this idea that vitamin c works miracle!

the story goes like this:
winnie and i were shopping in town for the entire day on friday.




and these were all that i've gotten that day.
for myself, that is.

that same day, the postman decided to come and i ended up receiving two packages.
i bet ma was cursing like mad when she had to sign for them.

thank god i came home real late that night.
she seemed to have either forgotten about those or she finally realised that there isn't any point in nagging at me.

anyhow, i shan't be revealing the stuff in the huge parcel because it has my christmas present in it and most likely someone else's too.
so, till christmas.

talking about christmas,
i've been trying to stay focus on doing christmas shopping for others,
but i always end up sidetracking and buying things for myself.

also, town is getting mm.. alot more crowded recently.
read my story below and you will know just how kua zhang it is.

we went to pick up my car at 10pm that day and i got home at 12.30am?
so.. i took like 2.5hr just to get home from town, inclusive of sending winnie back home.
how fab is that?!

we were stuck in ion carpark for close to an hour.
all we wanted to do was to get down from level 8 to the ground floor to exit.
we listened to about 5 jay chou's songs and covered say 10m?

to make things worse,
there was this jam on the expressway.
for no reason.

fab.

moving on to stuff i got from lush.
we went on the day it opened because i simply couldn't wait any longer.

the bad thing about the store is that it is SO heavily scented that i could hardly smell each item though i've already held it right in front of my nose.
maybe it's just my nose.

and guess what this SA suggested to overcome this problem?
she told me to try smelling my own clothes before smelling the product.
mm.. wouldn't i look like some weirdo smelling myself repeatedly in the store?

anyway, i ended up buying things based on the descriptions of the scents given by the SA.
honestly, i think you can go into the store smelling very funky and coming out of it smelling alright.

aqua mirabilis body butter

this is meant to be used after your shower.
it doubles as a scrub cum a body butter which you're supposed to rinse off after using it.

the SA told me this smells like digestive biscuits.
it really does and it also smells like some oats stuff.
mm.. i dont exactly like the scent, but i can make do with it.

my skin does feel smoother after using it.
but, i'm doubtful about the body butter part.
it's not that moisturising afterall.

p/s: i bought the plastic container from muji just to store this.

it's raining men shower gel

this is the shower gel version of their famous honey i've washed the kids soap.
i just tried it and actually think that the scent reminds me of that pink cough syrup.
hahahaha!

i'm seriously starting to doubt my nose.
because this is apparently a top favourite for many people.

mask of magnaminty face mask

this is a deep cleansing product which also acts as a scrub.
and this can be used on your face and body.

i kinda like this mask even though i felt this stinging feeling on my face after applying it.
it smells super minty and i love how my face felt refreshed and cleansed and the cooling sensation after the mask.

french kiss bubble bath

this is the only product that i've not tried.
but OH MY GOD.
i ABSOLUTELY love the scent of this.
it's by far the nicest lavender smelling product i've come across.

i store this in one of my drawers and whenever i pull it open,
i'll be like "omg.. my drawer smells so nice!"

if you're a lavender person, i suggest you check this out.
i'm probably going to buy more of these just to put around my room to make it smell this way.

sultana of soap [not featured in the photo]

i was given quite a generous amount of this as sample.
it doesn't have a distinctive scent to it.

this is definitely a miss for me.
unless you're someone who likes clearing up your bathroom after showering.
the dried fruits at the top of the soap just come running down when you're showering.

honestly a magnificent sight after a shower.
dried fruits all over the floor.

that's that.
i'm already excited about my next lush visit.
